Case ban in Netherlands and Belgium

The era of cases and loot boxes in Netherlands and Belgium is official over.

In the latest update to CS:GO, steam brought forward news to players in the Netherlands, where the closed steam trading and steam market functionality would officially be re-enabled, but they would unfortunately no longer be able to open loot cases.

The item trading market was switched off after NGA (Netherlands Gaming Authority) put a law in action in violation of the country’s gambling laws and therefore had to be changed with a deadline set for June 20.

Valve said they didn’t understand nor agree with the ruling and had sent a message to Netherlands Gaming Authority for clarification regarding the ban and the only solution was to disable the trading market for players in Netherlands and Belgium.
